Troubleshooting & Common Issues

Most issues come from leftover files or an extracted zip. Work through these in order.

Missing or pink textures

Pink (magenta) surfaces mean the game can't find a texture file. Almost always this is because the mod was extracted instead of left as a .zip.

• Delete the extracted folder from your mods/ directory.
• Re-add the original .zip without unpacking it.
• Clear the cache (see below).

Vehicles don't appear

1. Confirm the .zip is in the correct version folder, e.g. Documents/BeamNG.drive/0.32/mods/.
2. Make sure mods are enabled in the Mod Manager.
3. Check that the file wasn't blocked by Windows — right-click the zip, Properties, then Unblock.

Clearing the cache

A stale cache causes many phantom problems. To clear it:

• Open the main menu, then go to Options → Other.
• Click Clear cache and restart the game.

Crashes on load

If the game crashes while loading a vehicle:

• Remove other vehicle mods to rule out a conflict.
• Verify you're on a supported game version — each pack lists its tested version on its mod page.

If none of this helps, reach out and include your game version and the pack name.
