Installing Mods in BeamNG.drive

The mod is not showing up — what is wrong?

This is almost always an installation issue. The fix depends on what you downloaded.

Packs (Mini's Mega Car Pack and similar)

Packs from MiniModding must be extracted before use. Do not drop the zip directly into your mods folder — BeamNG will ignore it.

1. Download the pack zip from the mod page.
2. Right-click the zip and choose Extract Here (Windows) or use WinRAR/7-Zip.
3. You should now have a normal folder, not a zip file.
4. Move that folder into your BeamNG mods directory: AppData\Local\BeamNG\BeamNG.drive\current\mods\
5. Launch the game — the vehicles will appear in the vehicle selector.

Single mods

Individual mods from MiniModding work the opposite way — drop the zip directly into your mods folder without extracting.

1. Download the mod zip.
2. Drop the zip as-is into AppData\Local\BeamNG\BeamNG.drive\current\mods\
3. Launch the game.

Still not showing up?

Double check you are in the right folder. The fastest way to get there is to paste %LocalAppData%\BeamNG\BeamNG.drive\current\mods directly into the Windows Explorer address bar and hit enter.
